A classic tool used to manually press frame wire into beeswax foundation. The grooved brass wheel features a "spur" design that grips the wire and pushes it into the wax as you roll it along, creating a secure physical bond without the need for a power source.

• Pro-Tip for Northern Ontario: For the best results in our cooler Northern Ontario climate, ensure your foundation is at room temperature before embedding. A warm sheet of wax is much more receptive to the manual spur, allowing the wire to seat deeply and securely so your combs stay straight during the heavy summer honey flow.
