Oxalic Acid (140g)
Oxalic Acid is a highly effective, naturally occurring treatment for controlling Varroa mite populations. This 140g container provides a professional-grade concentrate that can be used for either the "dribble" method or via sublimation (vaporization). It is particularly effective because it leaves no residue in the wax and is very gentle on the bees when applied correctly.
Pro-Tip for Northern Ontario: This is the ideal "clean-up" treatment for our region. In Northern Ontario, we recommend applying Oxalic Acid in late autumn (typically late October or November) once the hive is broodless. Since the acid targets mites on the bees rather than in the brood, a single late-season treatment ensures your colony goes into the long winter with the lowest possible mite load.
